Congratulations on making the team! You have made this team because you have shown that you have competitive grit, a great attitude, and are coachable and ready to learn!
There is nothing more exciting then starting a new season. Just think right now we are all strangers and in a few short months we will be like family. We will all sweat, laugh and fight in competition together.
Your parents are a huge part of our team and our success too! I look forward to meeting all of them and having them share in your athletic growth and development. I'm hoping to ask parents for some much needed help during the season for things such as; planning team bonding activities i.e. secret sister, team parties, award ceremonies, etc. Please email me if you have a parent that is interested.
Communication and trust are the most important values that I expect from my team. I expect that all of you communicate your goals, fears, thoughts, and feelings with me. I have both coached and played for many years so I realize it's not easy playing club with family, school, and life pulling you in a million other directions. I hope that you can trust me enough to let me know when something is not working for you. With that being said...when we're in the gym, it's go time! I expect your focus and I trust that you are all there to learn and grow in volleyball, and in life.
I can't wait to get to know all of you and what gets you fired up!

Pass this information along to parents and encourage them to volunteer. Email if interested.
PLAYING TIME:
Those who work hard, are on time, make it to practice, continue to develop as coached, and are positive will be rewarded with playing time. Having said that we will be a team that strives to win each game and compete at our fullest potential.

MONEY:
$210.00 must be paid for the coaches fee. Please make checks payable to Rachael Rethwill, Money is due at Parent Meeting, unless you need to make payments and if that's the case just have a parent give me a ring and we can work it out.
PRACTICE:
Friday Dec. 3rd from 6:00 to 7:30. Please check in frequently with the Practice schedule. You can find a link to it under "Important Links" on this page or at pdx-vb.com.
PARENT MEETING:
Friday Dec. 3rd, at 5:45 at Robert Gray Middle School, we will then have practice from 6:00-7:30. Parents please come with any questions you may have.
